Toolroll

Install Toolroll.

One command starts the app and a builder for your projects, then opens the console at 127.0.0.1:4180. Use the package manager you already have.

Start it

npx toolroll up

Runs the latest release without installing anything.

From install to your first task.

From a fresh install to a scope waiting for your approval. Try the sandbox first if you'd rather look around: npx toolroll demo never spends and never reaches outside.

  1. Start it

    The first start prints your login and saves it in ~/.config/toolroll/up-login.txt, then opens the console.

  2. Sign in an agent

    Claude Code, Codex or Gemini, signed in on this computer. Settings → AI providers shows which are connected.

  3. Add a project

    Projects → add a folder or a GitHub repository. A repository you put in your projects folder later connects by itself.

  4. Hand it a task

    Open Chat and say what you want in plain words. The lead drafts the goal, the boundaries and the checks for you to approve. Nothing is built until you do.

Then decide from your phone: Settings → Telegram, Slack, Discord or Teams, and decisions arrive with buttons. See every integration.

Keep it current.

Update, then start it again. Your database upgrades itself on the first start; a backup first is one line.
